Updated not-so-new New Yorkers

We just HAD to update this post to include this beautiful Kadir Nelson cover:

nelsonNewYorker By Kadir Nelson

Read 2011's Kadir Nelson Talks with Roger about Nelson's book Heart and Soul: The Story of America and African Americans and publisher Donna Bray's 2012 profile of Nelson.

There are many more...here are a couple others of note.

I know this is not news, but, boy, there are a lot of New Yorker covers lately that were done by people (men) who are also illustrators. (Because my husband never throws them away, we've got a lot lying around.) Here's an array.

(Top) Kadir Nelson and Harry Bliss; (Bottom) Christoph Niemann and Liniers. (Top) Kadir Nelson and Harry Bliss; (Bottom) Christoph Niemann and Liniers.
