R.I.P. Floyd Cooper

We were so sad to learn about the death last week of prolific illustrator Floyd Cooper. A 2021 Boston Globe-Horn Book honoree for Unspeakable: The Tulsa Race Massacre by Carole Boston Weatherford -- she calls it his "masterpiece" -- Cooper was well known for his mesmerizing eraser technique; see "Studio Views: Erasing Pictures."
