I was so pleased to see my letter published in the September/October issue. However, I would like to make a correction: I am from Fairbanks, Alaska — not Arkansas!

I would also like to add that events that occurred since I wrote that letter have only reinforced that Mr. Trump does not intend to be a president to all of our diverse nation.

Merna Ann Hecht made several excellent points in her letter. In my job as an elementary school librarian I strive to discuss difficult topics with my students through children's books.  I appreciate The Horn Book helping me find those books.
