won tonWe've updated our list of recommended books about pets. You'll find dog (of course!), cat, hamster, and even rhinoceros books for readers from preschool through elementary school. All of the titles were published within the last few years and reviewed in The Horn Book Magazine.

No horse books here, I'm afraid, but you can find lots of 'em in Anita Burkam's "What Makes a Good Horse Book?" article from our January/February 2014 issue.
