I’m happy to be attending the tenth anniversary Carle Honors, which this year honor the contributions to picture books by artist Helen Oxenbury, editor Neal Porter, the Cotsen Library at Princeton, and intellectual freedom advocate Joan Bertin.
I’m happy to be attending the tenth anniversary
Carle Honors, which this year honor the contributions to picture books by artist
Helen Oxenbury, editor
Neal Porter, the
Cotsen Library at Princeton, and intellectual freedom advocate
Joan Bertin. These recipients are matched in worthiness by the
Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art itself, founded in 2002 by the artist and his wife and today a notable — and beautiful — landmark in Amherst, Massachusetts. Autumn is Western Massachusetts’s most sumptuous season, so what are you waiting for? Go visit.

Barbara Bader does that also. I prefer "picture book," but probably just because I'm used to it.Posted : Oct 01, 2015 07:12

Hi Roger, I'm noticing a small trend of combining the term picture book into one word: picturebook. The Marantz folks have used it as well as Barbara Kiefer at OSU. Would you comment on this, either pro or con? Thanks, JuliePosted : Oct 01, 2015 06:44
