>Here's
ours. I'm getting a jump on the season with
War and Remembrance, just perfect for a lazy rainy afternoon sitting on the porch of the old Cape Cod cottage I do not possess. In cleaning out the basement this weekend, I also found my forty-year-old copy of
Nicholas and Alexandra, which I devoured one junior-high summer. I wonder if it would hold up to rereading?

>Thanks for the include on the list. My dad's name was Nicholas (and mine is, of course, Alexandra), so my mother cut the title from the front page of the book to put over a photo of us in my baby album. I've been fascinated with the Romanovs ever since.Posted : May 26, 2010 06:01

>Roger, I loved reading my grandparents' copy of Nicholas and Alexandra. I reread it about five years ago. Still good stuff, but he updated his information in The Romanovs: The Final Chapter.Posted : May 21, 2010 05:14

>I am so glad to see "Operation Redwood" on this list! I was lucky enough to meet the author in Salisbury, MD a couple months ago, and I finished this book in just a couple of days.Posted : May 20, 2010 05:38
