Oh, I HATE costume parties.

Oh, I HATE costume parties. It's enough trouble to get dressed, never mind dressed UP, never mind dressed up AS SOMEBODY ELSE. Be that as it may, ALSC is apparently asking attendees to this year's Newbery-Caldecott banquet to acknowledge
the 75th anniversary of the Caldecott Medal in their sartorial choices for the evening. Since I've kindly been invited by Anita Eerdmans to sit with her and Caldecott Honor conferee Melissa Sweet, maybe I can just hang a stethoscope around my neck and pretend I'm
William Carlos Williams.
But should you have more ambitions,
Betsy Bird and Jim Averbeck offer some helpful hints.
