>D.C. in the summer at least isn't Orlando in the summer, but when can ALA get back to San Francisco? (Not in the foreseeable future, but we do get to go to Las Vegas in 2014.) But I'll be there and would be pleased if anyone would like to drop by the Horn Book booth, #3154. You can find me there from 9-12, Saturday through Monday. And I'll be the boy with the purple socks at the Newbery-Caldecott-Wilder banquet.

Someone needs to tell the ALA that summer is in season for Orlando (all those Disney travelers) and winter is off season (The kids are in school then), so it would be very nice if they'd have a Midwinter in Orlando, when it is off-season, cheap, and lovely weather. It is, actually, one of the better-laid-out convention centers.

BTW, I love the description of "A Listing of Library Association Conferences and Religious Holidays" at the ALA page. What a great mix - especially as carried out over the next decade. Now I'll know not only when ALA comes back to DC (2013) but also when Yom Kippur falls that year (9/14). How very helpful.
