Robin and I have just worked out the blog logistics for next week. It's time to mark your calendars, set your watch alarms, make creative alert tones for your smart phones, tie a string around your finger -- whatever works for you. Just remember to come vote.

It's especially exciting for us to see the votes come in since we know there are a lot of you lurking without commenting. This is when everyone gets their say.

Monday, January 21
Sometime Monday morning we will announce the books we've chosen to put on the ballot so you can have a full day to discuss them in the comments. Last year we limited it to 15 but we're thinking about having more this year. Maybe as many as 25.

Tuesday, January 22 at 9 a.m.
The polls will open. Check here for a post that will give you a link to the vote site.

Wednesday, January 23
9 a.m. -- Ballot 1 will close and Robin and I will analyze the results offline.
Noon -- We'll post the ballot results for you to discuss. We pretty much assume there will not be a clear winner yet, so we'll also let you know which books are moving on to the second ballot.

Thursday, January 24 at 9 a.m.
The polls will open for the second ballot and stay open for 24 hours.

Friday, January 25
9 a.m. -- Ballot 2 will close
Noon -- We'll announce the results.

And finally, don't forget to follow the ACTUAL announcement on Monday, January 28 at the ALA Midwinter Meeting in Seattle.
