If John Lewis (pictured above at the march in Atlanta on Saturday) hasn't made enough history, he is also the first person to win four awards in one day from the ALA: Lewis's book March: Book Three, written with Andrew Aydin and illustrated by Nate Powell, this morning won the Coretta Scott King Award, the Sibert Award, the Printz Award, and the YALSA Award for Excellence in Nonfiction.

I rejoice in this celebration of the many achievements of Rep. John Lewis--an indefatigable fighter for human dignity--a man of action, as well as words. Lewis' books should be printed in a larger trim size to make room for all the medals!Posted : Jan 23, 2017 08:01
