This is a great idea. Bertha Mahony Miller was a great lady and achieved so much. She needs a Mother Goose Lifetime Achievement Award. I will add to your catalog of her achievements in due course. My mother, Hilda van Stockum, had a lively correspondence with BMM and I have just finished transcribing the letters that have far surfaced—about seventy of them.

I am researching an illustrator named John Charles Wonsetler, and his wife, Adelaide Hill Wonsetler with whom he created 3 historical fiction books as well as illustrating many more. His dates are 1900-1979: lived in New Jersey, worked also as a muralist prior to concentrating on book illustration. I have seen his name on internet archive associated with your magazine. I love your museum. As a school librarian and a children's literature lover, I had fun reading your reviews from the 1940's, 50's, and 60's and seeing what you thought of a still popular book back then. I also loved reading Anne Carol Moore's review of Charlotte's Web (it was humorous and she made some good points) and Frances Clarke Sayer's musings about Walt Disney, which mirror my own feelings and a paper I wrote in library school. Thank you for hours of enjoyment. I loved that you were willing to look at your successes and your controversies. I will be back.

To Connie: Thanks for pointing out the spelling mistake -- now fixed! -- and asking about the Laura Ingalls Wilder issue. Some time ago, that reprint was taken over by William Anderson. I'll try to find out its current legal status because I don't see it offered anywhere online (except at exorbitant prices!). Maybe we can arrange to have it reprinted to coincide with next year's big birthday. No promises, but I will see what we can do!

Thank you for re-creating this virtual museum website to explore "oldies but goodies!" You have included some of my all-time favorite authors in their prime. Please note the spelling of Laura INGALLS Wilder.... that's a common error in journalism but shouldn't have been on The Horn Book's page. Connecting with Wilder, could you please reprint the December 1953 issue that was solely devoted to Wilder and the release of the "Little House" uniform illustrated editions by Garth Williams? Also in September 1943 there was a Wilder portrait and tribute written by Irene Smith that is worthy of posting in this online museum. Next year in 2017 there will be celebrations and conferences on Laura Ingalls Wilder, marking her 150th birthday. Does The Horn Book plan a feature article on Wilder in 2017? Thank you again for updating the virtual museum and keeping these classic authors alive for future readers of children's literature. Connie in Colorado
