Pettinelli’s September/October Horn Book Magazine article “The Day the Book Banners Came for Us.” Today is World Peace Day/International Day of Peace, with this year’s theme, “End Racism. Build Peace,” being a necessary, all-days fight. And as we celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Latinx Heritage Month (September 15–October 15), centering the voices and contributions of people of Latine descent, consider hurricane relief assistance for Puerto Rico and other locales devastated by Hurricane Fiona; local Boston librarian Sujei Lugo is one person who’s compiling resources.
