The 2024 Boston Globe–Horn Book Awards were presented on Monday, November 25, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM (EST) at Boston Public Library (700 Boylston St., Boston, MA 02116) in Rabb Hall. Judges Cathryn M. Mercier (chair), Rodney Fierce, and Katrina Hedeen Eftekhari were joined by winners and honorees: Sydney Smith, Jacqueline Woodson, Nicholas Day, Brett Helquist, Carole Boston Weatherford, Jeffery Boston Weatherford, Karida L. Brown, Charly Palmer, Oge Mora, Chelsea Lin Wallace, Hyewon Yum, Elana K. Arnold, and Maria Gianferrari. Gary R. Gray, Jr., Byron Graves, and Diana Sudyka had their memorable and heartfelt remarks read aloud by the judges.
