International Dance Day

Today is International Dance Day, a day "to celebrate dance, revel in the universality of this art form, cross all political, cultural and ethnic barriers, and bring people together with a common language — dance."

We hope you are movin' and groovin' in celebration, but when you need a breather, check out our three recently updated booklists from the Guide/Reviews Database. We've got recommended fiction and nonfiction titles for primary, intermediate, and older readers. Grade levels are only suggestions; the individual child is the real criterion.

You'll also want to read Jill Homan Randall's 2013 article "What Makes a Good Book About Dance?"
